PARENTS
Our ministry is a here to be an extension of your parental responsibility to disciple your children as parents. Our heart is to partner with you as a family, to come alongside you as a part of the Body of Christ to support one another in our efforts to raise our children up in the Lord. These are the core values and prayerful hopes for your students as they are involved in our student ministry here at Fellowship In The Pass Church.
MINISTRY PHILOSOPHY & GOALS
- We want your kids to know and love Jesus.
- We want your student to see God as Sovereign Creator and Savior of this world.
- We want them to have Biblical worldview and to understand God’s law.
- We want your student to be able to think, understand, and be discerning so that they can filter philosophies of the world with Biblical doctrine and know God’s will for their life.
- We want your student to be an independent learner, able to think deeply about God and eventually to clearly express their own ideas.
OUR DESIRE IS THAT YOUR STUDENT WILL USE ALL OF THEIR GIFTS AND TALENTS FOR GOD’S GLORY!
Deut 6:4-7 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
Col 2:6-8 ”Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. 8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirit of the world, and not according to Christ.”
1 Cor 10:31 ”So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
Rom 12:1-2 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
